We embraced challenges and opportunities along the way, and are set for an incredible second year. I invite you to celebrate the first year of your library system at our Annual Meeting June 26th. We will recognize new and departing board members and highlight an incredible maiden year!
The meeting begins at 5 p.m. at our Edwardsville office, and light refreshments will be served so please register in L2. After the Annual Meeting you are welcome to attend the IHLS Board Meeting which will begin at 6 p.m.

What’s New @ WebJunction Illinois
The most recent Library Law newsletter from Klein, Thorpe & Jenkins, Ltd. has been posted on WebJunction Illinois. This issue discusses the propriety of libraries providing compensation to library trustees. As is stated in the newsletter: The Public Library District Act of 1991 and the Local Library Act permit library trustees to be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses they incur in the performance of their duties, but prohibit library trustees from being compensated for their service.
