8. ISL Report

Mark Schaefer shared information about the Public Library Construction grant program: $790,000 in awards were made to 15 libraries, 4 of which were IHLS libraries. Those libraries were
Ashley Public Library District, Eldorado Memorial Public Library District, Frank Bertetti Benld Public Library, and Homer Community Library. He congratulated the Bunker Hill Public Library District—the first completed project that took library services to the community from a 1,500 square foot facility to a 4,000 square foot facility complete with green initiatives

9. SHARE Report

Leslie Bednar provided additional details of the Growing Resource Sharing Through Growing SHARE Grant.

15.b. FY2015 System Area & Per Capita Grant Application

The Board approved the FY2015 Budget which is a primary component of the System Area & Per Capita Grant Application.

15.e. Change Date of June Board Meeting

The Board voted to change the date of its June meeting to Monday, June 16 at our Du Quoin office.  The Annual Meeting begins at 5 p.m., and the Board meeting proper follows at 6 p.m.

15.f. Bylaws Update

Proposed changes to the Bylaws are posted here.  Please take a few moments to review the proposed change and share your feedback.

16.a. FY2015 Plan of Service

The Board approved the FY2015 Plan of Service.  The FY2015 System Area & Per Capita Grant application will be posted to our website following submission to the Illinois State Library on May 1.
16.b. Membership Considerations

The Board suspended the following libraries that failed to meet IHLS membership criteria:

Anna-Jonesboro CHSD #81 (Union County)
Bluford CCD #114 (Jefferson County)
Hardin County UD #1    
Mulberry Grove CUSD #1 (Bond County)
Sandoval CUSD #501 (Marion County)
Steeleville SD #138  (Randolph County)
Decatur Memorial Hospital
Lawrenceville Correctional Center

The recommendation is based on the results of the annual certification process that was conducted between January 1, 2014 and March 31, 2014.
