Jesse White Visits IHLS Libraries

On July 25, 2013, Secretary of State and State Librarian presented Joyce Courter, Director, Centralia RLD, with three ceremonial checks (Project Next Generation, Back to Books grant, and a $1.9 Million Public Library Construction Act grant). Congratulations to the library, library board, and the community of Centralia, Illinois.
On July 26, 2013, Secretary of State and State Librarian Jesse White presented Christine Gerrish, Director, Case-Halstead Public Library, with a ceremonial check for $1.6 Million. The Public Library Construction Act grant funds will be used for a new library. Congratulations to the library, library board, and the community of Carlyle, Illinois.

WorldShare Watch

The new WorldShare Interlibrary Loan service continues to grow with new and expanded functionality. Initiation of new requests in WorldCat Resource Sharing is scheduled to end November 25, and access to WorldCat Resource Sharing will end January 3, 2014.
The OCLC WorldShare ILL Team would like to hear from you about your plans to transition from WorldCat Resource Sharing to WorldShare ILL. The information you provide is intended for use only by OCLC staff to inform our support for your transition by January 3, 2014. Individual library data shared via this survey will remain confidential.
