IHLS Facilities Update
All staff from our southern location (Carterville) are getting settled into their new space at 500 South Madison, Du Quoin, IL 62832. The phone number and extensions remain unchanged. The main number is 618-985-3711. We appreciate your patience as we consolidate facilities to improve service.

Training Webinars on eRead Illinois
The eRead Illinois project will include an e-book collection and an Axis 360 software platform from Baker & Taylor for RAILS members and IHLS non-Share members. Illinois libraries may learn more about this e-book platform through a demonstration webinar to be offered on:
- Tuesday, October 1, 2013, 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, October 8, 2013, 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
- Tuesday, October 22, 2013, 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Each webinar will cover the same content. Log into L2 and click on the dates above for more information.
As of the end of fiscal year 13, SHARE is 425 libraries strong, and still growing!
Shipman Elementary School, Brighton North Elementary School, Medora Elementary School (all part of Southwestern CUSD #9), Palestine Public Library, Frank Bertetti Benld Public Library, Rosiclare Public Library, Johnston City Public Library, Sidell District Library, Golconda Public Library, Blue Ridge Township Library, Moulton Middle School (Shelbyville CUSD #4), Auburn Public Library, and Atwood-Hammond Elementary School are all somewhere in the process of joining SHARE during fiscal year 14. They are in the process of profiling, adding item records, and patron records to the database.
Another four libraries plan to join in fiscal year 15, and four more in fiscal year 16.

New Schedule for your Transition to WorldShare Interlibrary Loan
In response to requests from many members of the OCLC resource sharing community, OCLC has extended access to WorldCat Resource Sharing through May 19, 2014. The new transition schedule provides additional time for ILL staffs to fully learn the new WorldShare ILL service while retaining access to WorldCat Resource Sharing.
New WorldShare ILL transition dates are:
- End of placing new requests in WorldCat Resource Sharing: April 14, 2014
- End of access to WorldCat Resource Sharing: May 19, 2014
Thank you to those of you who have completed your transitions from WorldCat Resource Sharing to WorldShare ILL. You have provided leadership for others whose transitions are in process. If you would like to share your WorldShare ILL experiences with others through an upcoming webinar or a written summary on the OCLC website, please contact the OCLC team with an email to ILLstory@oclc.org.

The ILA Resources and Technical Services Forum will hold its annual meeting On October 17 at 10:45 am in Room 323 at Navy Pier during the ILA Conference. We’ll be voting on the proposed bylaws, coming up with program ideas for next year’s conference in Springfield, electing a forum manager and more!
