The Chatham Area Public Library District in Chatham, IL is seeking an innovative and service-oriented professional responsible for reference, readers’ advisory, creating local history displays and creating and maintaining the digital and physical library collection for their Opal Lee Chatham Local History and Genealogy Room. A successful candidate is knowledgeable in technology used in genealogy search, digitization and conversion software. This full-time position, with 20 hours devoted to reference services and 20 hours devoted to Chatham’s local history and genealogy services gives applicant the opportunity to work in a spacious facility in a growing community with a strong commitment to customer service.
