Although the 334 field (Mode of Issuance) is not new, it is now used for more than just continuing resources. Using examples cataloged by the CMC, Dr. Pamela Thomas and Eric McKinney discuss uses for this field, as well as how MARC fields 340 (Physical Medium) and 563 (Binding Information) are used and evolving.
