    Milner Library is accepting applications for a Copyright Librarian. This position is responsible for helping faculty, staff, and students with questions and issues concerning all aspects of copyright. Applicants must have a master's degree in Library and Information Science from an American Library Association-accredited master’s program, or an international equivalent recognized by the American Library Association.   • Minimum Requirements to Apply

    Required Qualifications:
    1. Graduate-level degree from an American Library Association-accredited program or an ALA-recognized international equivalent
    2. Demonstrated knowledge of copyright and intellectual property through experience or coursework, and willingness to learn and keep current in these areas.
    3. Demonstrated knowledge of scholarly communication, open access, and publishing issues and trends affecting higher education
    4. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with instruction
    5. Evidence of excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications:
    1. Demonstrated experience implementing initiatives to better understand and identify user or student needs.
    2. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
    3. Experience with teaching copyright and scholarly communication topics including lesson planning, assignment development, creating digital learning objects, and/or assessment.
    4. Experience and commitment to using assessment tools for evidence-based decision-making
    5. Experience incorporating assessment data to improve instruction and demonstrate student success.
    6. Ability to speak persuasively and confidently to large and diverse audiences and to listen to and respond to people's situations in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.
    7. Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely in writing and to interpret, clarify, explain, and apply copyright law, regulations, policy, and procedures.
    8. Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
    9. Keen attention to detail.
    10. Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
    11. Exceptional service orientation.
