ISL Releases List of Resources in Statewide Database Packages, Asks Libraries to Respond

54 Resources to Be Included in Statewide Package

Published : Jun. 21, 2024

The Illinois State Library (ISL) has selected EBSCO as the vendor for a statewide e-resource package and has released a list of the e-resources to included. The 54 digital resources, listed below, will become available to all Illinois communities at no charge upon rollout. Information about a timeline for the rollout is yet to be announced.

With so many EBSCO databases now available to Illinois libraries for free, we've negotiated an update to our EBSCO member discount—with reduced rates for upgraded subscriptions and additional resources! Learn more on our Vendor Discount Database.

Your participation is needed.

To help implement the program, ISL is requesting some data from libraries, to be shared with EBSCO. Please select the appropriate survey for your library:

Public/academic/special libraries survey     School libraries survey

To complete the survey, libraries will need to provide their agency and branch number, both of which can be found through your library's Library Directory & Learning Calendar (L2) account. In addition, you will need to know your library’s IP address. The easiest way to find that is to use a device connected to your library's internet and to navigate to The site will give you your library's IP address instantly. Schools: you can still complete this survey in the fall when you are back in your buildings.

***The Illinois State Library has asked libraries to refrain from announcing the program to patrons until it is publicly launched later this summer. ***
