Financial Literacy Resources from Illinois State Treasurer

Below are quick and easy resources to help you boost your patrons’ financial literacy.

Book Lists for Book Displays

Book displays can be a great way to inspire patrons to choose books on financial concepts. You can pull books from your existing collection and create a space for learning about money. The ALA has a wonderful resource guide with book suggestions.

RAILS Classifieds Page

RAILS libraries may list giveaways or for-sale items, or post inquiries about wanted items. All exchanges are the responsibility of the participating members, and RAILS delivery service is not available to move items. We provide this listing service as a convenience for members and do not endorse any offer. Items are posted for two weeks unless deleted by the author.

Inkie.org

Inkie.org is a suite of self-publishing tools and resources. Through RAILS’ partnership with BiblioBoard, inkie.org is available to everyone in Illinois free, without the need of a library card.

Inkie.org has three main audiences – authors, readers, and libraries.
