Library of America & NEH – Public Programming Grants Celebrating Latino Poetry

Beginning Fall 2024, grants of $1,200 are available to libraries and other public institutions for programs exploring Latino poetry and its ongoing relevance to American national life. Presented by Library of America with generous support from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), these grants will fund scholar-moderated discussions and other programs in communities across the nation from September 1, 2024, to April 30, 2025.

Stephen T. Riedner Grant for Life Enhancing Library Programs for People Living with Dementia

Applications are now being accepted for the third round of the Stephen T. Riedner Grant for Life Enhancing Library Programs for People Living with Dementia. Two $2,500 grants are available for libraries planning new services/programming for their patrons living with dementia. Just complete the application form and submit it by Feb. 23, 2024. You do not need to be a member of the American Library Association or the RUSA subdivision to apply.

National Park Service – Save America’s Treasures

The Save America’s Treasures grant program was established in 1998 to celebrate America's premier cultural resources in the new millennium. After more than 20 years, this grant program has awarded more than 1,300 grants totaling more than $300 million to projects across the United States. Funded projects, selected from 4,000-plus applications requesting $1.5 billion, represent nationally significant historic properties and collections that convey our nation's rich heritage to future generations.

Libraries Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Communities

In small and rural communities, the library is often positioned as a central hub that works to meet the various needs of all community members. Libraries Transforming Communities (LTC): Accessible Small and Rural Communities aims to provide community engagement and accessibility resources to small and rural libraries to help them better serve people with disabilities.

Up to 300 libraries will be awarded in this application period, part of ALA’s longtime community engagement initiative.

DAR – Historic Preservation Grants

The DAR Historic Preservation Grants provide financial assistance for projects that preserve historic objects and sites. Examples include restoration of historic buildings; digitization or preservation of documents/records; preservation of historic items/artifacts; restoration, rededication or relocation of existing historical markers; cemetery headstone and monument conservation, etc. Projects from all eras and chapters of American history are eligible to apply. The maximum grant is $10,000, and smaller projects are encouraged.
