Ezra Jack Keats Foundation Mini-Grants Program

The Ezra Jack Keats Foundation offers Mini-Grants to public schools, public libraries, and public preschool programs in the United States and its territories.

Grants of up to $500 are provided for projects that foster creative expression, working together, and interaction with a diverse community.

Ezra Jack Keats Mini-Grants have been used in a number of successful school and library programs, including:

EBSCO Midwinter Meeting Sponsorship

ALA and EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) are partnering to offer five scholarships for librarians to attend the 2017 ALA Midwinter Meeting in Atlanta. The scholarship allows more librarians to take advantage of the opportunities for continuing education, meetings and interactions with colleagues at the meeting, which will take place from Jan. 20 – 24, 2017.

Ameren Illinois Non-Residential Hardship Grant

The Ameren Illinois Non-Residential Hardship Program provides one-time assistance to non-profit organizations that have an active Ameren Illinois electric account and a hardship.

Applications are reviewed for program eligibility by the Energy Assistance Foundation, an independent non-profit organization that serves as program administrator. Qualifying customers will receive assistance in the form of a one-time grant applied to their organization’s Ameren Illinois electric account.

ALCTS 2017 Continuing Resources Awards

Nominations are being accepted for the 2017 Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS) awards for outstanding achievement and promise in the field of serials and continuing resources. The awards are presented by the Continuing Resources Section of ALCTS. One award honors an individual who shows outstanding promise in the field of serials, while the other recognizes an individual whose work represents the finest achievements in research, collaboration, creative work, leadership and service.

ALCTS 2017 Preservation Awards

Nominations are being accepted for the 2017 Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS) preservation awards. ALCTS presents three Preservation Awards, through its Preservation and Reformatting Section, to honor individuals whose work represents the finest achievements in research, collaboration, creative work, leadership and service in preservation or to support a new preservation staff member’s participation in preservation activities at the ALA Annual Conference.

Nominations are being accepted for the 2017 Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS) awards for innovation and collaboration. ALCTS presents two awards to honor individuals and/or groups whose work represents the finest achievements and leadership in collaboration and innovation.

If you are interested in nominating a candidate for either of the awards, contact the chair of that award jury. The deadline for nominations and supporting materials is Dec. 1.
