  • About the Organization

    Hillsboro Area Public Library District is in the central Illinois town of Hillsboro. The library became a district library in January of 2022, when they moved to a new library building on Main Street. They serve approximately 10,200 individuals.

  • Job Description and Responsibilities

    Duties and Responsibilities include: library operations of State of Illinois rules and regulations; funding and yearly budget; library policies and reports; computer applications; developing and implementing and evaluating library programs of all ages; ordering of materials and supplies. Managing & scheduling of 9 part-time clerks.

  • Minimum Requirements to Apply

    Bachelor's degree, and computer & typing skills. Customer Service experience. Some library experience it helpful.
