Delivery Satisfaction Survey Follow Up

Thank you to those member libraries who were able to respond to the Illinois Heartland Library System Delivery Satisfaction Survey. We appreciate all the positive feedback we received and are addressing any concerns that may have arisen.

Below is a list of frequently asked questions. We hope this will help answer any questions you may have about delivery at IHLS and if you have any further questions, please reach out. Thank you again for your partnership.

Q. What do you do if your library pauses delivery?

A. Please fill out the No Delivery Request form.

Q. What is the most efficient way to communicate with IHLS?

A. Although we wish we could see every note left in every tote, the reality is that some may be missed even after multiple deliveries. If you have a message that you would like to share with IHLS, please contact your hub manager or reach out to the Delivery Help Desk Ticketing System.

Q. What do we do if we do not want a specific tub or tote taken?

A. The drivers are trained to pick up all the tubs left in the outgoing exchange point. Please separate the tubs you do not want to be picked up.

Q. Where can we find updates about delivery?

A. IHLS values keeping our member libraries as updated as possible. We do this by regularly having updates in our Members newsletter, hosting Members Matter meetings, frequently hosting Directors’ Chats, and posting regular updates on the IHLS Delivery news webpage. If you need to subscribe to any newsletters or email listservs, please visit our Newsletters & Listservs webpage.

Q. Who should you contact if you would like to change the location of the drop-off point for your library’s items?

A. Please contact your hub manager. If you are unsure of who your hub manager is, please reach out, and we will let you know which location to contact with your needed changes. Our drivers will use a designated pick-up and drop-off location unless otherwise noted. We would like for these locations to be a contactless exchange point.

Q. Where do we look if we have any questions regarding COVID-19 and IHLS Delivery?

A. IHLS tries to keep member libraries as updated as possible on COVID-19-related updates. Please visit our COVID-19 Updates and Resources webpage for further information. We also send out major announcements about COVID-19 through the COVID-19 email listserv.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact your hub manager.
