The Ameren Cares program connects Ameren with the communities it serves through charitable giving. A key focus of Ameren Cares is to partner with nonprofit organizations that improve the quality of life of people living in Ameren's service territory. Ameren donates to non-profit organizations in Missouri and central and southern Illinois each year that are located within our service area. Our contributions target support for causes associated with: Environment, Youth and Education, Civic and Community, Health and Human Services, Arts and Culture.

The Decatur Area Arts Council grants program supports and promotes arts events and creative arts learning experiences. The DAAC service area includes all of Macon County, and the communities of Assumption, Clinton, Moweaqua, Pana and Taylorville. Grant awards range on average from $200 to $1200.

Landmarks Illinois’ Preservation Heritage Fund grants are intended to provide monetary assistance to significant structures or sites in Illinois that are under threat of demolition, in imminent deterioration, in need of stabilization, in need of structural or re-use evaluation, or need to be evaluated for landmark eligibility. The Preservation Heritage Fund was established in 2004.
