Chick-fil-a – True Inspiration Awards

Since 2015, the True Inspiration Awards program has carried on Chick-fil-A Founder S. Truett Cathy’s legacy of generosity and community service by providing grants to nonprofit organizations working to strengthen our communities. This year, Chick-fil-A granted $5 million to organizations that work in the areas of Caring for People, Caring for others through Food, Caring for our Communities or Caring for our Planet.

Illinois Reading Council – Literacy Support Grants

The Illinois Reading Council will award financial grants to local and special interest councils and individuals council members for the purpose of promoting literacy development in the school and community, and/or providing professional development opportunities related to the improvement of reading and writing instruction. If fulfilling one of the above stated purposes requires a joint effort with another school, district, or other agency, letters stating their intended involvement are required from these agencies.

The Sharon Darling Innovation Fund Family Learning System Challenge

The SDIF at the National Center for Families Learning (NCFL) is seeking proposals from interested organizations (adult education programs, early childhood programs, child care, out-of-school time programs, school districts, etc.)  to develop and implement innovative programs, initiatives, products, processes, or strategies aimed at significantly improving the status quo in family literacy, family engagement, and/or family leadership.

NEH – Humanities Collections and Reference Resources

HCRR advances scholarship, education, and public programming in the humanities by helping libraries, archives, museums, and historical organizations across the country steward important collections of books and manuscripts, photographs, sound recordings and moving images, archaeological and ethnographic artifacts, art and material culture, and digital objects. The program strengthens efforts to extend the reach of such materials and make their intellectual content widely accessible.
