Census Participation

From the Office of the Secretary of State:

Pursuant to authority granted by Sections 345 of Public Act 100-0586, the Office of the
Secretary of State (SOS) shall award the sum of $1,500,000, or so much thereof as may be
necessary to community providers statewide to encourage census participation.
Based on this authority, the SOS is requesting proposals from responsible parties to address these
needs. If interested and able to meet the requirements set forth in this RFGP, the SOS
appreciates and welcomes all responses.

Libraries [Ready to Code]

From the ALA website:

To celebrate the upcoming launch of the new Ready to Code Collection website, ALA will be awarding $500 mini-grants to school and public libraries that facilitate a program for youth during Computer Science Education Week, December 3-9, 2018, using Google’s CS First Hour of Code activity. This year, the Scratch-based activity encourages creativity in storytelling so youth can incorporate their own interests while learning to code.

2019 Ezra Jack Keats Mini-Grant Program

The Ezra Jack Keats Foundation, dedicated to supporting arts and literacy programs in public schools and libraries across the country, is putting out its annual call for proposals.

Approximately 70 grants, up to $500 each, will be awarded to teachers and librarians in public schools and libraries whose proposals reflect imagination and a desire to make learning fun. The Foundation welcomes Mini-Grant proposals focusing on any subject. Decisions will be emailed to all applicants in May, allowing educators to plan for the next academic year.

 

MLK Day of Service Grant

YSA is now accepting applications for the 2019 MLK Day of Service Grants to activate youth volunteers on MLK Day of Service weekend. Funded by the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, these grants offer youth development organizations, community-based organizations, and schools/school districts grant funding and capacity-building training to effectively recruit and engage young people in meaningful service activities.

2019 Herb Biblo Travel Grant

The Social Responsibilities Round Table of the American Library Association (SRRT) is pleased to announce the first annual Herb Biblo Conference Travel Grants to help finance up to two SRRT members' attendance at the ALA Annual Conference. The $1000 award covers limited fees related to airfare, lodging, and conference registration.

Air Force Association Grants for Education

When teachers or instructors propose innovative, aerospace-themed projects, they unleash their students’ imaginations and encourage bright minds to explore futures in STEM fields. Unfortunately, sometimes a lack of funding prevents these projects from becoming a reality. AFA is proud to step in and offer three types of education grants to make sure those dreams become reality.

Big Lots Foundation Grants

Big Lots Foundation funds support programs that will enhance the lives of children and families in the areas of hunger, housing, healthcare, and education.
