Laura Bush Foundation

The Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries provides funds to the Nation’s neediest schools so that they can extend, update, and diversify the book and print collections in their libraries with the goal of encouraging students to develop a love of reading and learning.

The grant award may be used only for books, periodicals, eBooks, reference materials, and magazine/newspaper subscriptions. More than one school in a district/diocese/CMO may apply for the grant, however, each school must submit their own application.

Awesome Foundation - Micro Grants

The Awesome Foundation is a global community advancing the interest of awesome in the universe, $1000 at a time. Each fully autonomous chapter supports awesome projects through micro-grants, usually given out monthly. These micro-grants, $1000 or the local equivalent, come out of the pockets of the chapter's "trustees" and are given on a no-strings-attached basis to people and groups working on awesome projects.
