Illinois Heartland Library System is excited to share that we’ve officially joined TikTok and Instagram. These platforms give us new ways to connect with library staff, trustees, partners, and advocates across our service area and beyond, while meeting people where they already are.

Why TikTok and Instagram?

Libraries have always evolved alongside the communities they serve. From card catalogs to digital databases, from in-person programming to virtual learning, change has been part of our story. Social media is no different.

TikTok and Instagram are increasingly where conversations about education, information literacy, technology, and community support are happening in real time. By joining these platforms, IHLS can:
